Thomas Bleicher Obituary

BLEICHER, THOMAS In Branford November 3, 2010, Thomas Bleicher, husband of the late Christine Blank Bleicher of 201 Granite Rd., Guilford, formerly of Branford. He was born in Germany May 25, 1914, son of the late George and Christine Bleicher. He came to the US in 1952 and was a long time resident of Branford until moving to Guilford 5 years ago. He was a communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford. He was retired from Hostess in New Haven, where he worked as a baker. He belonged to the Canoe Brook Senior Center and was a member of its pool team. He is survived by a son George (Judy) Bleicher of Branford, two daughters, Eva (Frank) Rubertone of Hamden and Christine (Gunter) Warken of Guilford, four grandchildren, Heidi Rubertone-Dapkin, Linda Currie-Zeffiro, Debbie Warken and Robert Warken, six great-grandchildren, and three sisters in Germany. He was predeceased by his grandson, Karl Rubertone. His funeral will leave the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Branford, Saturday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Friday from 4 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent to the Canoe Brook Senior Center, 11 Cherry Hill Rd., Branford, CT 06405. See obit at www.wsclancy.com .

George and Judy,
Tom was such a light to Roberta and all the Caldwell family. We will all miss his warm smile and even warmer handshake.
