Andrew Acquarulo Obituary

Andrew Acquarulo, of New Haven passed away peacefully August 8, 2017 in Connecticut Hospice. He is the husband of Gertrude Langella Acquarulo. Andrew was born in New Haven January 4, 1927 son of the late Domenico and Carmella Covone Acquarulo and was a proud US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Along with his brother-in-law, John Langella, he co-owned the Morris Cove Market for 39 years. He was a member of the Saint Andrew the Apostle Society for 40 years, serving as Treasurer for 39 years. He was also an avid fan of UCONN Women's Basketball. He is the father of Robert and Andrew Jr. (Pam) Acquarulo. Brother of Amelia "Molly" Iovanne, and the late Rose Colavolpe, Antoinette Maltese, and William and John Acquarulo. Loving grandfather of Blake and Alex Acquarulo. Andrew's family would like to thank the staff of Smilow Cancer Center in North Haven and Connecticut Hospice for the care and comfort they provided. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Friday morning at 10 in St. Michael's Church 29 Wooster Place. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. An endowed scholarship has been established in memory of Mr. Acquarulo, contributions can be made to Hamden Hall Country Day School 1108 Whitney Ave. Hamden CT 06517.
