Daniel McGowan Obituary
Daniel B. McGowan Sr., 79, of Sterling, CT, passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brief illness on Monday, December 25, 2017, at Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam. He was the husband to Joanne Mumford McGowan. Daniel was born in New Haven on January 25, 1938, and was the son of the late Francis and Margaret Maselli McGowan. Daniel was a 1956 graduate of Hamden High School and a graduate of Eli Whitney Technical School. He was a member of the Victorian Boys Club, was a Journeymen Electrician for IBEW local 90, an avid fisherman, and enjoyed going to various auctions. Loving father of Daniel B. McGowan Jr. and Gary McGowan. Loving grandfather of Erin and Samantha McGowan. Brother of Patricia Volpe and the late Frank McGowan.
Family and friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, North Haven, Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Dan was one of the best Forman I ever had, and I am so sorry for not being able to attend His funeral. Gary, You had the best fathers a guy could wish for. My most sincere regards to the McGowan Familyand all the LU 90 Brothers who will miss Dan.
