Edward Adam Kulenski

KULENSKI, EDWARD ADAM Edward Adam Kulenski, 96, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, formerly of East Haven and West Haven, loving husband of the late Doris Brooks Kulenski, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother and uncle, died Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Hospice House in Port St. Lucie. Edward was born in New Haven, January 3, 1917, a son of the late Benjamin and Victoria Sczypinsky Kulenski. Edward had owned the Atlas Moving and Storage Co. in West Haven and had long been involved in the West Haven community. He was a member of the West Haven Elks Club, was a past President of both the West Haven Exchange Club and the Orange Lyons Club. He was a Fire Commissioner with the West Haven Fire Department, Center District, and a member of the building committee for the West Haven City Hall. He is survived by his two children, Edward B. Kulenski and his wife Mary, of West Haven, and Donna Kulenski Gibney and her husband John, of Hamilton, Montana; six very dear grandchildren and seven cherished great grandchildren, and a very cherished great great grandson. Edward also leaves a brother, Alfred Kulenski and his wife Lillian, of Milford; two sisters, Helen Baggish of Milford, and Wanda Mangrum, of West Haven, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant twin daughters, Barbara and Susan, a granddaughter, Kim Elizabeth Misurale, two brothers, Stanley and Charles Kulenski and a sister, Genevieve Kulenski. The funeral will be held at the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven, Monday morning at 11:00 am. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00.
