Alfred DeMichele Obituary
DeMichele, Alfred A. " Fred" Alfred A. "Fred" DeMichele, 84, of Hall St., New Haven, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. He is the husband of Carmel Paolillo DeMichele. Fred was born in New Haven on December 24, 1927 to the late Anthony and Anna Guarine DeMichele. He is a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. After the war, he received an Accounting Degree from Stone School of Business. He worked as an accountant for most of his life, first with Josephson Bag and Canvas Company of Bridgeport, followed by Thomas Industries of Guilford, formerly located in Hamden and finally, his last 15 years were spent with the Accounting Office Consultation Center. He would retire in 2000. Fred was also involved with the Morris Cove Community Club, the Guilford Senior Center and a lifelong parishioner of St. Bernadette Church. He was also an avid Red Sox Fan and Bocce Player. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lauri DeMichele of New Haven, a brother and his wife, Edward (Mary Ann) DeMichele of East Haven, three sisters, Carmel (Andrew) Amarante and Rosemary DeMartino, both of Guilford and Lucille (Richard) King of Branford, brothers-in-law Joseph and Ronald (Ann) Paolillo both of East Haven and a sister-in-law, Antoinette Culos of Guilford. He was pre-deceased by three brothers, Anthony, Pasquale and Lawrence DeMichele and a sister Rose DeMichele, two brothers-in-law Ralph DeMartino and Daniel Culos and two sisters-in-law Sue DeMichele and Lucy Paolillo. Funeral will leave the EAST HAVEN MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 425 Main St., Monday morning at 9:30 for a Funeral Mass at St. Bernadette Church at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 to 7 pm. At the family's request, please OMIT FLOWERS.
