Angelo Frione Obituary

FRIONE, ANGELO D. Angelo D. Frione, 87, of North Branford, husband to Marie Rapone Frione, passed away March 15, 2014, at Madison House Healthcare. He was born on February 22, 1927, to the late Felice and Elizabeth Mamolite Frione of New Haven. Angelo was a WW II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he worked as a dispatcher for Foxon Concrete and then as a parts representative for Mack Trucks of West Haven. Angelo umpired and coached for Little League Softball as well as coached youth basketball for the town’s Rec Leagues. Angelo was an avid bowler, who had bowled in multiple leagues. He was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus, Eldorado Council. Besides his wife, Marie, Angelo is survived by his daughter, Lynn Lennon and her husband Edward of North Branford; his brothers, Eugene Frione of North Haven and John Frione of East Haven; his sisters, Amelia Troiano and Genevieve Demarseilles of North Branford; his grandchildren: Edward Lennon Jr. and his wife Jenna of North Branford, Richard Lennon and his wife Taylor of North Branford, and Michael Lennon of Baltimore, MD. Angelo is survived by one great-granddaughter, Harper Lennon. Angelo was predeceased by his son, Arthur Frione. His funeral will be from Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road (Rte. 22 So. at Rte. 80.), North Branford, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to his funeral mass. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations in his memory may be made to the North Branford Volunteer Fire Department Company #1, PO Box 537, North Branford, CT 06471. Dear Maria, I'm so sorry to hear about Angelo. I just found out this morning . He was a great person to know. We are greatful that we knew him. Please send Lynn and the boys are deepest sympathy. Anthony and I are going keep him and the family in prayer. Love Linda Celotto.
