Ann Raymond Obituary

RAYMOND, ANN (LOCKWOOD) She was a longtime resident of Waterbury before moving to Eastham, Cape Cod, MA. She was a member of Waterbury’s Mill Plain Union Church where she served on numerous committees and enjoyed bowling in the women’s league. She was the ultimate homemaker and enjoyed the beach and sunsets at the Cape and many family gatherings for parties and holidays. She is survived by five sons, David and Barbara (Green) of Weston, VT, Donald and Linda (Friden) of Branford, Douglas of Oakville, Dennis and Gail (Rossignol) of Wolcott, Duane and Angelita (Due)of California City, CA and one daughter, Dawn and John (Ariola) of Norton, MA. She also leaves her cherished 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, and a surviving sister-in-law Jean Raymond, of Hebron. Also the family would like to thank the devoted staff at Arden House fourth floor A&B in Hamden, most especially nurse Bertha Mote, for the care of their beloved mother. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at St. Paul’s Church, 145 Main St., Southington, on March 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Alderson Funeral Home of Waterbury, 9 Holmes Ave 06710 is assisting with the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to The Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
