DIVITO, ANTHONY “POPPY” Anthony “Poppy” DiVito, 85, of East Haven, beloved husband of Georgeanna Levatino DiVito passed away on January 24, 2014 in Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving father of Phyllis (Leonard) Hottin of East Haven and Angela (Saverio) Finelli of Madison. Grandfather to his magnificent 7: Lenny, Erica, Ashley and Mikey Hottin and Vincent, Frank and Anthony Finelli. Brother of Sister Mary Anthony DiVito of New Britain, Antoinette DiVito of East Haven and the late Adeline Lonik. Uncle of Lorraine (Donald) Franco of Northford. Anthony was born in New Haven on August 10, 1928 son of the late Vincenzo and Philomena Scarpitti DiVito. Prior to his retirement, Anthony was an electronics engineer for the former Entelator Company and also a Korean Army veteran. His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven TUESDAY morning at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30 A.M Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call MONDAY from 5pm to 8pm.
