Lau, Arthur Charles Arthur C. Lau, 86, of North Branford, husband of the late Maria Herta Lau, passed away February 18, 2013 with his two sons by his side. Son of the late Otto and Elisabeth Lau, he was born in Meissen, Germany. He lived in Millau, France for several years before immigrating to the United States in 1957. He was a member of the Harugari Singing Society for over 50 years and his greatest passions were traveling and the arts. He is survived by his sons, Christopher J. Lau and his wife Julie of St. Johns, Florida and Peter T. Lau and his wife Gail of Canton, Connecticut; his grandchildren Kirsten, Ryan, Noah, Alison, Julia and Ethan; and his half-brother Harald Lau of Germany. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ardnt 10, Hans-Jurgen 1, a sister Ute-Veronika 5 and his mother Elisabeth, who had lost their lives together in the destruction of Dresden February 13th-14th 1945. Family and friends are invited to call at Keenan Funeral Home, 330 Notch Hill Road, (Rte. 22 So. at Rte 80.), North Branford on Friday from 9:00 -10:30 am prior to his funeral mass. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, North Branford. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven.
