Barbara Onofrio

Barbara Austin Onofrio, 83, of New Haven, passed away June 15, 2013 in the St. Raphael Campus of Yale New Haven Hospital. Wife of the late Pasquale F. Onofrio, Sr. Mother of Ronald F. (Sandra) Onofrio of East Haven and Pasquale F. (Sally) Onofrio, Jr. of Milford. Daughter of the late Richard and Ellen Finn Austin. Sister of Richard and Edward Austin both of Milford. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She also leaves her former daughter-in-law Joann Onofrio of New Haven. Prior to her retirement Barbara worked for Ann Taylor's and also worked for the Sero and Gant Shirtmakers. Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte 80) East Haven Wednesday morning at 9:00. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30. Interment will be private.
