Brady Bonito Obituary

BONITO, BRADY MITCHELL Brady Mitchell Bonito died peacefully in his home in Southington, CT after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Melissa D. (Pali) Bonito the proud and devoted father of Bailey Shay Bonito and the stepfather of Cody Paul D’Orazio. He also leaves his much loved and devoted parents Ronald and Debra S. Bonito of Wallingford, CT. Born July 19, 1970, Brady was raised in Wallingford and graduated from Sheehan High School in 1988. He was employed by Ulbrich Shaped Wire of North Haven where he began his employment as a trainee. Over the next six years he was promoted to various management positions; the latest being Production Planner. He played a key role in the installation and implementation of a state of the art manufacturing shop floor control system. He was a trained Kaizen facilitator. Besides his love of family and friends Brady had several lifelong passions. He was an accomplished musician considered by many associated with the local music scene to be one of the top bass players in CT. In his 20s and early 30s he was very much into Heavy Metal playing with the groups CFI and Opium for the Masses. During this time he co-wrote many of the bands music. As he grew older, his genre of choice was much more of a Rock and Roll style. For the past several years he played with Vises Like Vipers. From a very early age he became an avid reader, he could be found with a book wherever he was and took every opportunity to read. Although he enjoyed many different authors and genres, his favorite was James Lee Burke. In his early twenties his creativity took another direction and he studied cooking at Gateway Community College. He did well and impressed his family and friends by serving them new, delicious, and interesting meals. He also enjoyed camping with his family at a seasonal camp site at Salem Campgrounds in Salem, CT. Brady was a personable and caring man and his family and friends will miss him and his amazing wit and uncanny ability to impersonate famous people. A celebration of Brady’s life will be held at First Assembly of God, 601 Paddock Avenue, Meriden, CT. Family and friends may call on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. A reception will be held at the completion of the service. Private internment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in Brady’s name to the Smilow Cancer Care Hospital.

Although I hadn't seen Brady in a long time we grew up going to Pond Hill, shared KISS records, and flew with the same flocks when we got into playing in bands. I am *grateful* to have known him when I did. I'm glad he got to experience the joy of fatherhood and that Brady will be living on through all the family and friends he has touched.

A good man is gone before his time. I only know Brady from work, having been at Ulbrich Shaped Wire for only three years, but have come to know and respect him. My fondest memory isn't directly about him, but rather his daughter, Bailey. I don't know if she will remember, but about three years ago at the Ulbrich family Christmas party (the first one I attended, being a new employee). I was there with my wife, our 4 year son, and 3 year old daughter. My son was apprehensive about going up to see Santa. Bailey, not knowing who we were, walked up to my son, took his hand and told him that she would go with him if he was nervous.

I see this as a testament to the kindness, compassion, and love that Brady instilled in his little girl. Bailey, thank you for that. Brady, thank you for being a great dad and raising a wonderful daughter.

My sympathy to Melissa, Cody, Bailey, Ron, Deb, and the rest of Brady's family and friends.

To the Bonito Family,
I worked along side Brady on projects at Ulbrich Steel. We immediately hit it off and would often joke. I am deeply saddened he was taken at such a young age, he worked very hard to be the best at whatever he did. RIP my friend and colleague, I know you will be watching your family from heaven.

My B,
From the girl who never believed in marriage until fate brought me to you. When I saw you standing against that brick wall with a book in your hand, you looked at me with that one dimple smile and I turned to lil Steve and said "I'm going to marry that man". And so I did .
You are my destiny, my heart my soul, my everything. I was so proud to be your wife. A love like ours can't be destroyed, not even by death. Our love lives inside myself, cody & bailey always. We shared something amazing, we had this secret that only we shared we were special we were anything but ordinary. We were one.
Your intelligence, charisma and charmed amazed me. 13 years later my heart still skipped a beat every time you walked into a room, you still gave me goose bumps every time you touched me. Sometimes I would just watch you as you would sleep and wonder how did i get so lucky. I couldn't have asked for a better father for our children.
Thank you for loving me. Thank you for being my soul mate and my best friend. Thank you for being you. If I were asked if I would do it all over again, knowing what the out come would be I wouldn't hesitate. I would give it all for just one more second with you.
I'll never get over it Brady. I will love and miss you till the day I die but I will honor you by staying strong for our children and raising them with your moral and values. 100 million baby 100 million

Ron and Debbie and family,

What a beautifully written obit. I can't believe Brady has passed. It's devastating for him to die so young with such a promising future ahead. Every time I saw Brady he was smiling and in a great mood. He was a real charmer who could light up a room and it will be impossible to replace him.
