JUST, BRIAN G. In North Branford, Thursday, September 5, 2013, Brian G. Just, 61, of 180 Sea Hill Rd, North Branford, CT. Beloved husband of Carol Ahrens Just. Born on June 15, 1952, in Norwalk, CT, son of George and Marjorie Noyd Just. Loving father of Laura (Kyle) Francis of Wallingford, CT and John Just of North Branford. Grandfather of Lilliana Francis. Also survived by his brother Kevin Just of Norwalk, CT, his sister Kathy (Bob) Schroeder of Naugatuck, CT, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and really good friends. Brian served his country in the US Navy. He was the owner of JCL Associates. He was very active in the community: he loved to coach little league and was also a deacon in the North Branford Congregational Church. He will always be remembered as a beloved husband and a great father who was always there with his dry sense of humor, a smile on his face, and warmth in his heart. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 10am in the North Branford Congregational Church, 1680 Foxon Rd (RT 80), North Branford, CT 06471. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, Boston St, Guilford. Friends may call Monday, September 9 from 5 to 8pm at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford, CT 06437. Contributions in Brian's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Carol, John, Laura, Kyle Lil the little princess and family, Brian was good man, you should remember him as one who helped others, he was a fair, decent and honest man.
Which one of you is going take his place for my early morning wake up calls ( Hi George, this is Brian, give me a call, my number is: 203-949-9302) and subsequent follow up phone call while I drive into the office every morning?

We were all shocked to hear of Brian's passing Friday morning, especially after he visited UTAS Thursday morning. He was not only a vendor representative to us, but he was also a friend. I remember Brian calling on Hamilton Standard over 20 years ago. He always showed up with a smile on his face, of course most of all when there was another connector representative to take a verbal jab at, like Jim. He spoke of his family fondly, and more recently became a proud grandfather. He will surely be missed, and our hearts go out to his family and loved ones.

Big Bri was a tremendous person who helped make me the person I am today. I hope to be half the man he was to his family and everyone who knew him. He looked after me like I was his own son, and for that I will never forget him. Much love to the family, you know he's smiling down on us all with an iced tea in his hand.

He was also the only man who cooked a pork chop that I actually enjoyed.

Carol and family,
So very sorry to hear of Brian's passing. I do want to share my favorite memory of Brian with you--it was at a fundraiser for the NBCC Junior Choir. Brian stood with me on the steps of the church as we watched the kids washing cars for $5 a car, and he said, with his usual dryness, "I'll give you ten dollars to NOT let them wash my car." He always made me laugh and I love the picture of him smiling here and will always remember him this way. Many blessings of love and peace to you all,
