Carol Davis Obituary

DAVIS, CAROL ANN Carol Ann Davis, 70 of Amherst, NH died Wednesday March 19, 2014, at Southern NH Medical Center. She was a long time resident of Killingworth, CT before moving to New Hampshire with her daughter. Born June 27, 1943, in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Irene (Fordham) Lambert. At one time Carol had attended Middlesex Community College. As a career, Carol worked as a bookkeeper. She kept close to colleagues who became friends in her retirement. Her hobbies included reading and knitting, but she truly enjoyed her cats and her three grandchildren. She took great pleasure watching her grandchildren grow and it was the highlight of her day to have conversations with them. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Justin William Davis and his wife, Katie, of West Point, VA; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharron L. April and her husband Benjamin, of Amherst, NH, and with whom she lived; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger Lambert and his wife Ginger, of East Haven, CT; three grandchildren, Rachel “Dolly” April and Tyler “Sweetie” April, both of Amherst, NH, and Mya “Pumky” Davis, of West Point, VA. A celebration of Carol’s life will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock St., Nashua, NH 03064, is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made in Carol’s loving memory to: Lambert Scholarship, PO Box 120035, East Haven, CT 06512. An online guest-book is available at www.davisfuneralhomenh.com. Justin and Sharron. Mr. McDougall and I are so very sorry for your loss. I spent many great afternoons sipping iced tea with her when you two were very little. I hold those memories dear.
