Esposito, Charles J., JR. Charles J. Esposito Jr., age 79, of Milford, formerly of West Haven, passed away on March 2, 2013 after a long illness. Husband of Joan Kowalewski Esposito for the past 49 years. Born in New Haven, son of the late Catallo and Fannie Cosenzo Esposito. He is also survived by his children, Chuck (Roseanne) Esposito of Milford, Diane Esposito of West Haven, and Karen (Jim) Kline of Milford, his grandchildren, C.J. and Gianna Esposito, and Jessica and Jaclyn Kline, his sister Fannie "Tiny" Papagoda, several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Pepper. He was predeceased by his brothers Vincent, Dominic, and Anthony Esposito, and his sisters Marge Thompson, Louise Esposito, and Dolly Acompora. Charles served with the Army National Guard, retired from United Nuclear, was a past Commander of the American Legion Post 47, a member of the West Haven Elks Lodge 1537, and a former member of the Home and School Association at St. Lawrence School. He was also an avid NY Yankee and wrestling fan. The hours for visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
