I will miss you Grandpa very much. You were a very gigantic part of my direction in my life. You inspired me with your stories and educated me on your experiences through your lifetime. You gave me a rare and unique respect for those in our family. If all families could be as ours, the world would be a perfect place to live.
Grandpa, I learned much from you over my years. You taught me how important a great education is and how no one could take this away from me. You inspired me with your excessive reading, and spoke of the knowledge you acquired through this. Perhaps this is why I became a reading teacher.
Grandpa, I will treasure the times we sat down and talked, about me, about you, about Grandma. These times made me feel a bond with you which I will never forget. I enjoyed all the many holidays, whether it was you and Grandma hosting such memorable times; or at one of the Castlevetro gatherings. Everything you touched was complete and to the fullest.
Finally, I always told you that you were the "top of the hierarchy". You remained in this seat for 95 wonderful years. I told you that you were not ready to give up this position, no one was ready to fufill your "shoes". I still am debating if there will ever be anyone to sit as high as you had sat for so many years. Perhaps it is essential to keep your memory right there at the top, in my own mind.
I will miss you greatly.
I keep imaging those brillant, skarkling golden doors opening to let you in. I am sure you are with those you have not seen for years, I know I will be with you one day, also. I will be thinking about you frequently until then.
"I Love You, Grandpa!"
Love With All My Heart,
Your Granddaughter Karen
