Diane Halloran Obituary

HALLORAN, DIANE MORMILE Diane Mormile Halloran, 70, of Branford entered into eternal rest March 31, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in New Haven on February 26, 1943, the daughter of the late Anthony and Loretta Cavallaro Mormile. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Halloran of Branford; her three sisters, Dolores Hooker of Ansonia, Bette (Joseph) Rubino of North Haven, and Audrey Batick; and many nieces and nephews. Diane worked for many years for the Family Relation Division of the State of Connecticut. Diane, together with her husband enjoyed wintering at their home in Florida. She had a gift with the making of special knitted and crocheted items. She will always be remembered for her golden hands and loving heart. Our grateful thanks to Dr. Silber and Dr. Chung, nurses Fran and June at the Fr. McGivney Cancer Center, and Claudia with the VNA. Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford, Friday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4 - 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Father McGivney Cancer Center, 1450 Chapel St., New Haven, CT 06511. So sorry for Dick's loss. They were a true couple who cared and supported one another through happy and difficult times. Diane will be missed, but always present. She now knows life without pain as she is reunited with her family on the other side.
