Elizabeth Cusano Anastasio Obituary
ANASTASIO, ELIZABETH Elizabeth Cusano Anastasio, 76, of East Haven, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Wife of the late John Charles Anastasio. Born on February 1, 1936 in Ruviano, Providence of Caserta, Italy; daughter of the late Pasquale and Vincenza Perretta. She had worked as a gun assembler for the US Repeating Arms for 20 years until her retirement in 2000. Betty enjoyed trips to the casino and cooking Sunday dinner for her family. Mother of Robert (Helen) Anastasio of North Haven, and Lisa (Michael) Rotella of Hamden. Grandmother of Jennifer and Jillian Anastasio. Sister of Dominic (Frannie) Cusano, Maurice (Carol) Cusano, Joseph (Eileen) Perretta, Mary (Louis) Miranda, Joann (Romeo) Niro, Angela Dicocco and Ida (David) Tessitore, all of Schenectady, NY. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dante and Assunta Buontempo, Anthony and Maryanne Anastasio for always being there for their mom. Her Funeral Procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Vincent de Paul's Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday (TODAY) 3 to 7 pm. www.northhavenfuneral.com
