Esteban Cruz

Cruz, Esteban Esteban Cruz, 89 of Middletown, formerly of New Haven died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Water's Edge Center for Health & Rehabilitation, Middletown after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Josefina Sanchez Cruz. Mr. Cruz was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on August 10, 1923 and had resided in New Haven for most of his life before moving to Middletown fifteen years ago. He worked at the Stop & Shop Warehouse, formerly of North Haven for several years. He is survived by two daughters, Lucy and Sonia, four grandchildren, Taty, Magaly, Carlos and Mark, four sisters, Elsa, Margarita, Rosa and Emerita, one brother Herminio, and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Mr. Cruz's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. His funeral procession will leave from the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 70 Washington Ave., New Haven.
