Gary W. Arnold

Arnold, Gary W. Gary W. Arnold, 77, of New Haven, passed away September 9, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born in Meriden, son of the late Carl and Maud Higginson Arnold. He earned two Master's Degrees, one in Languages and the second in Library Science. He taught at Notre Dame High School in West Haven and was a Librarian at Yale University until he retired. He is survived by his son, Wayne C. Arnold and his wife Meridith of North Haven; his sister Madeline Masut (Arnold) of Summerfield, FL; his grandchildren, Kevin and Megan; and his former wife, Margaret Traynor Arnold. He was predeceased by his companion, Muriel Cousins. His funeral will be from Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven at 10:30 am on Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, New Haven. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call from 9:00 am - 10:30 am at the funeral home prior to his funeral Mass.
