Gerald Enright Obituary

ENRIGHT, Gerald J. Gerald J. Enright, 79, of West Haven, loving husband of 55 years to Emma Bradley Enright, passed away July 22, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus. He was born in New Haven on August 2, 1933, son of the late Gerald and Helen Morenz Enright. He served with the United States Navy during the Korean War. After serving in the Navy he became a firefighter with the New Haven Fire Department until retiring after 33 years of service. He was a proud member of the New Haven County Firefighters Emerald Society, a 50 year member of the American Legion Post 132 and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving besides his wife are four children, Brian G. Enright and his wife Lisa of East Lyme, Kathleen A. Robichaud and her husband Brian, Patricia L. Holt and her husband John and Nancy E. Cilbrith, all of West Haven; ten grandchildren, Emily, Sean, Matthew, Josh, Hannah, Zachary, Harrison, Elizabeth, Tyler and Christopher; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Francis Enright and sisters, Mary Bohan and Teresa Cassista. His funeral will be from Keenan Funeral home, 238 Elm Street, West Haven at 9 am on Thursday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call from 4-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank all the staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, St. Raphael Campus for all the care and compassion they gave to Jerry during his stay there. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 207 Main Street, West Haven, CT 06516.
