Harry R. Lewis Obituary
LEWIS, HARRY R.
Harry R. Lewis, of New Haven, passed away peacefully at Arden House on June 1st. Harry was born in Bronx, NY on August 11, 1938, and was an excellent student throughout his life. Harry earned his PhD in Clinical Psychology after studying at University of Miami and University of Florida. Harry's dissertation in Social Psychology contributed to the knowledge of the Risky Shift Phenomenon, which explores how a group can shift the initial thinking of its members. Harry also was in the Reserves after 4 years in ROTC training.As a Psychologist, Harry worked at various health facilities including Kaiser Permanente and Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford. In retirement, Harry was known for his scholarly pursuits and love of literature and movies. He was often seen at Yale lectures and performances, or in lively discussions with friends.
