Henry Kluppelholz

KLUPPELHOLZ, HENRY Henry Kluppelholz, 90, of 26 Butler Road, North Haven, died peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford, after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances Lundgren Kluppelholz. Mr. Kluppelholz was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, on December 31, 1922, a son of the late Ewald and Anna Trabusch Kluppelholz, and had resided in New Haven for most of his life, and North Haven for the past seventeen years. He worked as a supply clerk for the former New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad, and the former Conrail Co., New Haven for thirty seven years, retiring in 1993. Mr. Kluppelholz was a proud WWII Navy Veteran, and served in the Euoropean, African, Middle East and Pacific Theatres. He was a member of the Harugari Singing Society of West Haven, and the North Haven Senior Center. He is survived by two daughters, Carla (Bill) Rumskas of North Haven and Joanne Wilson of Meriden, and his nephew, Douglas Wilson of Plainville, and was predeceased by three sisters, Anna Vischio, Lisa Zito and Julie Lee. Mr. Kluppelholz's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home; the Reverend Scott Morrow officiating.
