Hilda Harlow

HARLOW, HILDA C. Hilda C. Haskell Harlow, 88, of Wallingford, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Warren Harlow. Born in Dexter, ME, August 14, 1925, a daughter of the late Harvey and Madelyn Daggett Haskell, she had been a Wallingford resident for many years. She was a graduate of the University of Maine, class of 1947, and had taught Home Economics and was a home demonstration agent for Maine and Pennsylvania Extension Services. She had been a substitute teacher for many years and had taught adult education classes in Wallingford and Cheshire. She was a member of the Unitarian Society of New Haven. In addition to her husband Warren, she is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Magill and her husband Jim of Asheville, NC; her son, Raymond Harlow and his wife Jennifer of Durham; her grandchildren, Andrew, Connor and Hannah Magill and Elizabeth, Emily, Christopher and Erin Harlow; her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Tom Knowland of Charlotte, NC; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Cynthia Folsom. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
