Howard "Pete" Morris

MORRIS, HOWARD " PETE" Howard "Pete" Morris, 75, of Haines City, FL, formerly of Northford, CT, passed away from cancer on Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was born on May 28, 1938, the son of Everett and Eva Morris of East Haven. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Hainer Morris, daughters, Sandra Morris of Yonkers, NY, Linda Cusano of Branford and a son, William Morris of East Haven, granddaughters, Michelle Cusano, Jessica and Samantha Morris. Also, brother Robert Morris of Davenport, FL, and sisters, Pat Morris of East Haven and Susan Emmerich of Guilford. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Mr. Morris served in the US Navy aboard the USS Waldo County LST 1163. He worked for 20 years for Cramer Construction as a painter. He then worked for Aplicare, Inc. of Wallingford, until he retired in 2000 when he and Shirley retired to FL. Cremation Services of Mid Florida in Davenport, FL is in charge of cremation.
