FITZGERALD, JOHN D. In Branford July 29, 2014, John D. Fitzgerald, beloved husband of Frances Ruggiero of Branford. Mr. Fitzgerald was born in New Haven February 5, 1954, son of the late Elizabeth and John Fitzgerald. He worked as a meat cutter for BJ’s Wholesale Club in North Haven. His passion was music and he was a drummer for many area bands. He was a member of the Branford
, BPOE 1939. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Danielle Pagano of Branford and Lindsay Fitzgerald; his step-children Robert Ruggiero and Joe Ruggiero of Branford, Carly Manley of North Branford and Shelly Manley of East Haven; and his cousins, Anthony and Lisa Curcio of Branford. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jacqueline Fitzgerald. Friends may call Friday from 4 – 8 pm at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a funeral service Saturday morning at 11:00 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
