James Francis Guarino

Guarino, James F. James Francis Guarino, 77, of New Haven, died April 9, 2013 at the Grimes Center. Jim was born in New Haven, Nov. 23, 1935, the son of the late Frank and Adelina Manga Guarino and was a mason for the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union for over 40 years, retiring 20 years ago. He enjoyed his family, all sports and trips to the casino. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. James (Gina) Scroggins and Mrs. Gordon (Lynn) Earl, both of Hamden, brothers, Francis "Gerry" (Violet) Guarino and Philip Guarino, both of New Haven, grandchildren, James Scroggins, Michael and Nicole Cuneo, Matt, Scott and Adam Earl, a great-grandchild, Mason Cuneo and his former wife, Dolores Guarino of Hamden. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Guarino. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock.
