Jane Arline Belvin

BELVIN, JANE A. Jane Arline (Foster) Belvin, 85, a resident of Englewood, FL, formerly of West Haven, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the CT Hospice, Branford with her daughter at her side. Jane was born in Hamden on July 6, 1928; daughter of the late Bradford and Alice Coutts Foster; had served her country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and had worked as a secretary for Perelli Tires, New Haven, CT. Mother of Kathy Carboni of Hamden. Grandmother of Christopher (Lauren Shapiro), Jennifer and Sgt. Nicholas (Tiffany) Carboni. Great-Grandmother of Kolten, Dominic and Jordan Carboni. Sister of Gladys Jones Mate of Madison, CT and Englewood, FL, Barbara (Howard) Rohner of Cullowhee, NC and her twin sister the late Jean Tannoia. Sister-in-law of Richard Tannoia of South Portland, ME. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service with military honors on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the First Congregational Church, 111 Church Drive, Cheshire. There will be no visiting hours. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
