John M. Haggarty

HAGGARTY, JOHN M. On September 2, 2013 John M. Haggarty, 94, of Long Hill Rd, Guilford, beloved husband for 67 years of Eunice Colter Haggarty. He was born in Guilford, CT son of Edward and Grace Elsie Scranton Haggarty. John was predeceased by his children, Deborah, John and Dawn Haggarty and his brothers Donald and Frances Haggarty. In addition to his wife he is survived by his grandchildren Matthew and Mary Haggarty, their mother Judy Haggarty, his brother James Haggarty and several nieces and nephews. John graduated from Guilford High School and worked for SNET for 38 years. He was Assistant Chief of the Guilford Fire Department and a founding member of the North Guilford Company. A Graveside Service open to all will be held Saturday, September 7 at 11:30am in the North Guilford Cemetery, Ledge Hill Rd, followed by a reception at the North Guilford Fire Department on Route 77.
