Torto, Lawrence H., SR. Lawrence H. Torto Sr., age 95, passed away at home on November 24, 2012. Devoted husband of Bertha Torto for the past 69 years. Loving father of Lawrence H. (Linda Sekac) Torto Jr. of East Haven, cherished grandfather of Jon Torto, Jennifer (Robert) Wood, Lawrence H. Torto III, Victoria E. Torto, and Campbell J. Torto, adoring great grandfather of Robert, Avonlea, Ty and Carter. Larry was a WWII Army Veteran, he was a laborer prior to his retirement and was active for many years with the Oxford Special Olympics. The hours for visitation will be MONDAY from 4-8pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the Green. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Lawrence Church. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Oxford Special Olympics C/O of Mo Blees 13 Lisbon Tr., Oxford, CT 06478.
