Lillian Burr

BURR, LILLIAN H. Lillian H. Burr, widow of Ivan N. Burr, formerly of Milford, CT, passed away at home in Cheshire, CT on March 6, 2014. She was 94 years old. Born in Bridgeport, CT, eldest daughter of Thomas & Grace Loker Hanbury, she moved to Milford in 1978. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she started the Blood Pressure Program at the Milford Senior Center. She also volunteered at the Milford Mobile Red Cross for 15 years. She is predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Burness, who died in 1958; a sister, Mildred Hanbury; and two brothers, Thomas & William Hanbury. She is survived by two sisters, Grace Kuraczea of Cheshire and Ann Candera of Ansonia; two brothers, Timothy Hanbury of Oxford and Edmund Hanbury of Trumbull; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial mass will be said at St. Thomas Becket Church in Cheshire on Sat., March 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. There will be no calling hours and a burial will be at a later date in Rehoboth, MA.
