Smith, Sr. Loving mother of Anne Iassogna of New Haven, James J. Smith of Clinton and Philip F. Smith, Jr. of California, sister of James Bohan of Old Saybrook, Martin Bohan of Ireland, Bridie Lillis and Anne Keogh both of Hamden. Also survived by her 4 cherished grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Patrick, Michael and Bartley Bohan. Mary was born November 30, 1932 in Mohill, County Leitrim, Ireland, daughter of the late James and Katie Ward Bohan. Mrs. Smith was a long time member of the New Haven Gaelic Football and Hurling Club, and named "Irish woman of the year 2005", the Pioneers of the Sacred Heart and the Columbiettes of Blessed Sacrament Church. Funeral from Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.
