SELTZER, DR. MAXIM "MICKEY" Dr. Maxim "Mickey" Seltzer, 88, of 21 Bradley Rd., Woodbridge, CT, died at his home on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Dec. 10, 1923, he was a son of the late Mary & Michael Seltzer, and brother of Sergeant Oscar Seltzer, killed in action in the Korean War. Mickey served as a Navy Apprentice Seaman while he completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University. He was a graduate of New York University School of Dentistry, and practiced in Brooklyn and North Woodmere, N.Y. He served as Captain and Dental Officer in active duty at the front of the Korean War in 1951-1952, where he was awarded two Bronze Stars. He was a voluntary instructor for over 20 years at the Dental Clinic at Kingsbridge Medical Center, Brooklyn. Mickey was the husband of the late Fay Leitner, and devoted father of Dr. Arthur (Dr. Reena) Seltzer and Karen (Clifford) Aaron. He was the cherished grandfather of Michael and Aura Seltzer and Hillary, Lindsay, and Stephanie Aaron. Graveside Funeral services were held at Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Flushing, N.Y. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be sent to Cong.
