Michele Easton-Capp Obituary

EATON-CAPP, MICHELE Michele Eaton-Capp, 68, of New Haven died Monday, August 12, 2013 at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. Michele was born in Winsted, CT, on June 20, 1945, a daughter of the late Michael and Lucille Tartaglia Capp, and had resided in New Haven for most of her life. She owned and operated Poor John's Pub on Middletown Ave., New Haven for the past twenty years and served on the Board of Directors for the United Cerebral Palsy Assn., Wallingford, for more than thirty years. Michele is survived by her daughter, Nadia Capp of New Haven, four stepchildren, Lisa (Don) Riordan of North Haven, Terri and Edward Eaton of West Haven, and George Eaton of East Haven, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Diane Capp. Michele's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Torello-Iacobucci Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, with a rosary service at 5:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Norfolk, CT on Monday at 11:00 a.m. www.washingtonmemorialfh.com

I first met Michelle in 1990 when we came to live in New Haven. We became friends at once. I joined Poor Johns darts team & we traveled all over. Michelle & friends took me out for my hen night we had such a great time. You were such a great friend & lovely lady. We would phone Michelle at Christmas or New Year. Rest in Peace dear friend,lots of love from Greta Nicholson, Living back in the UK.
