Elderbaum, Philip MacLean Philip MacLean Elderbaum, 78, of Old Whitfield St., Guilford, died surrounded by his family at the Guilford House on Saturday, December 29, 2012. He is the husband of Nancy Jane Vinson Elderbaum. They were married for fifty-four years. Philip was born in Lynnfield Centre, MA on April 14, 1934 to the late William and Blanche MacLean Elderbaum. He owned and operated Guilford SAAB since 1980 and was a partner in Land Rover Guilford since 1997. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, and was a member of the Masons, St. Albans, #38 of Guilford. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Lisa and Captain Jeffry Motter of Guilford, two grandchildren, Jane and Philip Motter, and three sisters, Blanche Davenport of FL, Janet Heerter and Jean Marshall, both of MA. He was predeceased by brothers William and Gilbert and sister Eleanor Palmer. Known as "Paku" to his grandchildren, he loved spending time with them, including taking them to their hockey games and practices. He was proud to be a small business owner and to work hard every day. He was a truly good man whose wisdom and sense of humor will be missed. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 11 o'clock at the First Congregational Church of Guilford. Interment of ashes with Full Military Honors will take place prior to the service in the Memorial Garden of the First Congregational Church at 10 am. There will be no calling hours.
