Obituary Condolences

DiCERBO, RICHARD Richard DiCerbo of Deltona, FL, formerly of West Haven, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2014, after losing his battle with liver cancer. Born February 8, 1951, Richard is survived by his beloved parents, Joseph and Ann DiCerbo, sisters, Laura (Tom) DeLucia, Andrea Girasulo, Marybeth (Luther) Clarke, his former wife and caregiver who remained by his side throughout his illness, Cathy Link DiCerbo. He was the proud uncle of Olivia, Ella and godson, Michael Clarke. Richard also leaves behind his aunt and godmother, Emily Cozens, his beautiful husky, Loki, his dearest friends in Florida who devotedly cared for him and many wonderful caretakers at the VA Hospital and Fish Memorial Hospice. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Guiseppe DiCerbo and Raffaela DiCerbo Arrato , his maternal grandparents, Michael and Elizabeth Halama, and his uncle and godfather, Nunzio DiCerbo. Richard attended West Haven Schools and enlisted in the US Marine Corp in 1968. For the past 26 years, he lived in Deltona, FL. He was employed by Radio Shack as assistant manager. Friends may visit the family from 9 to 10:30 on Tuesday morning at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 in Our Lady of Victory Church. Burial will be private.
