Rachel Ferguson Obituary

FERGUSON, RACHEL Rachel Ferguson, 80, of New Haven and Hamden, passed away October 29, 2013 at CT Hospice. She was born November 9, 1932 in New Haven to the late Fred and Rachael Robinson. Rachel is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Charles S. Ferguson and a sister, Delores Allen. Rachel is survived by three children; Cynthia Russell Balaber (Mark) of New Haven, Charles Ferguson of Middletown, Chris Ferguson (Dawn) of New Haven, five grandchildren; Chuck Ferguson, Peter Ferguson Russell, William Ferguson, Courtney Sargent-Ferguson, Charlee-Rose Ferguson, five great grandchildren, sister; Rose Zanders stepsister Bernadette Lloyd of New Haven and brother; Fred Robinson of California. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Rachel was an accomplished musician/composer, poet, writer, artist, teacher, nurse and a devoted Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a 10:00 AM service at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1123 Ella T. Grasso Blvd, New Haven, CT on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The funeral services are in the care of Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1123 Ella T.
