I knew Ray only as a customer and seeing him at the beach with his beautiful family. Ray. Was one of the best mechanics I knew He was smart and loved his passion for cars he loved to take care of his coustermers. That were also his freinds. Ray changed the oil on our Samurai the first time we brought it to Shoreline after moving to Niantic in 1992. We chose Shoreline because my brother-in-law, Norm Lussier, told us they did excellent work and, more important, were totally trustworthy. Almost 1,000,000 miles and 5 cars later, Ray was still always there when we needed him and still keeping us on the road. He was a good man and became a true friend over the 21 years we knew him. May God rest his soul. Our deepest condolences to his family. Miss you, Ray. Rest in peace.

It transcended his work as a great mechanic. When a family member broke down about town Ray answered the call and rescued them. It was more about people than business. My late husband, Eric, always trusted our cars to Ray's care. Eric and Ray were restoring Eric's 1964 Chevy C-10 pickup truck when Eric died unexpectedly. At that time, Ray expressed his condolences to me which I appreciated so much. I think that Ray and Eric are now discussing the remaining work on the truck and having a good laugh. I was able to become friends with Ray in high school and working with him at the gas station. I have very fond memories not only working with Ray but spending time as friend's both in school and hanging out after school. I have many memories of Ray, Norm, Bob, Ken and I doing crazy off the wall things. I will never forget those fun times.
