Robert Maloy

MALOY, ROBERT F. Robert F. Maloy, age 86, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Elinor Geoghegan Maloy, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Milford Hospital. Born in Hartford on January 16, 1928, he was the son of the late John T. and Catherine Fagan Maloy. Robert served with pride and honor in the US Navy as a Seaman during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an inspector for Pratt & Whitney. Having a great love of the ocean, Robert was an avid boater and enjoyed building models, as he loved working with his hands. Most important in his life was spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren. He will be remembered as a caring, loving and generous husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. In addition to his wife of 56 years, Elinor, he is survived by his daughter, Maureen Stusalitus and her husband Paul of Shelton; sons Thomas Maloy and his wife Maryann of Durham, NC, and Christopher Maloy and his wife Antoinette of Seymour; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 26 at 10:30 a.m. (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment to follow as St. Mary Cemetery, Milford with full military honors.
