Rose Cappelli Obituary

Cappelli, Rose Mary Rose Mary Raffone Cappelli, 92 of 8 Hitching Post Drive, Wallingford, formerly of North Haven died peacefully Friday, September 27, 2013 at Regency House of Wallingford after a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry Cappelli. Rose was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 31, 1921, a daughter of the late Giro Pasquale Raffone and the late Anna Mazzarella Raffone Daddio. She had resided in North Haven for thirty three years before moving to Wallingford in 1997. She is survived by two daughters, Amelia Funkhouser of West Hartford and Raffaela (John) Giordano of Wallingford, one brother, Alphonse (Lucille) Daddio of Guilford, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her step-father, Joseph Daddio and four brothers, Charles, Dominic and James Raffone and Anthony Daddio. Rose's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Her funeral procession will leave from the funeral home on Monday for a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Ave., North Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
