I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Selby for many years at Snet/SBC and was on his golf team. He was always a kind gentle soul, a perfect gentleman. I believe God called him home early because he had already earned his wings.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Family & Friends of Selby. I had the pleasure of working alongside Selby at AT&T. We always carved out a minute or two during work discussions to talk about family, hobbies, and the weather. He was truly a warm person. He will be missed at AT&T.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Selby. Although i have been out of Madison for quite some time and have not seen either of you in awhile, my memories are also of a quiet and kind man. I remember Selby from our graduating class of 1971. My memories are of a gentle, kind and quiet soul. My condolences to all of the Pinney family ... and especially to you, Carol, whom I remember so well. Selby, may you rest in eternal peace .....

Selby and I lived in the same neighborhood as well as being in the same class. He was always so quiet. I'm sorry for your loss please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. WHS Class of 1971.

Selby was part of Windsor High schools (CT) class of 1971. He married sweet Carole Dzanis, also class of '71. The last time I saw them was at our 20th reunion. As I said elsewhere they were glowing that night and so adorable together. I remember Selby's sweet shy smile. He was one of the good guys. My condolences to Carole and the family. God bless.

Carole, I was so sorry to hear of Selby's passing. Haven't seen either of you since the 20th reunion but I am sure that you remain two of the nicest people I ever knew. I hope you can glean strength from the thoughts and prayers of others as I am sure that he was loved by many, many people and family members.

I'm terribly saddened by the news of Selby's passing. I remember well the few New Years Day dinners I attended at Ed and Vanina's. The meal and the company was certainly enhanced by Selby's presence. I know he will be deeply missed.

I was fortunate to work for Selby, not only once but was lucky enough to have him contact me when an opening in his department came about, to work for him again. I also was a member of his team on the Telso golf league. Selby was a kind, caring man who was very professional and well respected in his job. The SNET/SBC/AT&T family has lost a true gem. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time

I had the pleasure of working with Selby at AT&T over the past ~8 years and I am deeply saddened in hearing the news of his passing. Selby and I developed a friendship where we could always count on each other for help or advice and Selby was always one to offer a helping hand. I will surely miss my friend.

We will miss our devoted scuba diving partner. We're glad to have so many fond memories of the great times that we had together. I was in boy scouts and graduated high school with Selby. We did a lot of camping and hiking together much of it in the rain. What a great smile and always upbeat and positive. You will be missed.

I grew up with Selby in Windsor and we spent a lot of time together when we were very young; playing Pee Wee, Little League, and basketball. I have very good memories of that time and Selby was a good friend; my thoughts and prayers are with the entire Pinney family.
