Sidney Greenblatt

GREENBLATT, SIDNEY Sidney Greenblatt of Terryville died at the Bristol Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. He was the husband of the late Ella Berger Greenblatt. He is the father of Stuart Greenblatt (wife Deborah) of Branford and Larry Greenblatt (wife Meryl) of Hamden and the grandfather of Sarah Greenblatt of Branford. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Greenblatt. Sidney was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 13, 1927, a son of the late Paul and Anna Greenblatt. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1947. After being discharged from the Army he worked for the U.S. Post Office from 1947 to 1987. He was a long time resident of Brooklyn until moving to Terryville in 1987 after retiring from the Post Office. He also resided in Boca Raton, Florida during the winter for the past several years. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 at the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. The W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford is in care of arrangements.
