Thomas Agro Obituary

AGRO, THOMAS, JR. Thomas Agro, Jr., 87, of 1450 Whitney Avenue, Hamden, formerly of Northford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Regency House, Wallingford. He was the husband of the late Josephine Teribile Agro. Thomas was born in Naugatuck on December 14, 1925; son of the late Thomas Agro, Sr. and Anna Covella Agro. He served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy on an aircraft carrier during WW II and received numorous citations, and was the owner and operator of the T. Agro Tile. Grandfather of Thomas Agro IV of Northford. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Thomas Agro III and siblings Louise Thomas, Lillian Torfason, Katherine DeGroat and Mary Sacco. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the office of All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Avenue, North Haven on Friday morning at 10:00 to attend a graveside service with full military honors. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr. #3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
