Vincent E. Matrisciano

MATRISCIANO, VINCENT E. Vincent E. Matrisciano, of North Haven formerly of New Haven passed away August 14, 2013 in Yale New Haven Hospital-St. Raphael Campus. He is the husband of Angelina "Jean" Mancini Matrisciano. Vinny was born in New Haven December 25, 1926 son of the late Leon and Ella Celentano Matrisciano and was a proud US Army veteran serving during WWII. He served over 40 years in the New Haven Public School System in various positions until his recent retirement from New Haven Adult Education in 2010. Vinny was a long time member of Alling Memorial Golf Club, the Wing Ding, the Alpha Club and was a past President of the Annex Little League. He is the father of Jody (Brian) Weyel and David Matrisciano. Father-in-law of the late Marisa Matrisciano. Brother of Rosemary Jejer and Dolores (James) Guzzio. Loving grandfather of Kristin and Vincent Weyel and David II and John Paul Matrisciano. Also survived by his sister-in-law Rosalie Mancini and several nieces and nephews. His funeral will leave from the IOVANNE FUNERAL HOME INC., 11 Wooster Place, Monday morning at 8:45. Mass of Christian burial in St. Francis Cabrini Church, North Haven at 9:30. Burial with military honors in All Saints Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-7pm.
