GROSS, WENDY M. A graveside service was held June 2 at Beaver Brook Cemetery, Clinton for Wendy M. Gross, 75, who died May 29 at her Guilford home. The service was conducted by Rabbi Offner of Temple Beth Tikvah, where Wendy was a member. She was predeceased by her parents and leaves behind her cousin, Maxine Wishner of Milwaukee, Wisc., her beloved dog, Tess, and a host of friends. Wendy received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in bacteriology/microbiology from UCLA. Before her retirement, she was director of the TB Reference Laboratory at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven. After retiring, Wendy was an adjunct part-time faculty member at Quinnipiac University. Wendy was an avid reader and book club member, an adventurous world traveler, a skilled amateur photographer and ardent golfer and tennis player. An arts lover, she was a frequent theater-goer, a long-time subscriber to Long Wharf Theatre and was proud to be a docent at the Yale Center for British Art.
