Bednarczyk, Casimir S. Casimir Stanley Bednarczyk, 91, of New Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, August 23, 2013 at Montowese Health & Rehab Center. He is the husband of Theresa Romanik Bednarczyk. Casimir was born in New Haven on September 20, 1921, a son of the late Boleslaw and Leonia Kobus Bednarczyk. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Denver and was a Fireman for the City of New Haven, retiring in 1986 after 33 years of dedicated service. Casimir was a charter member of the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society and the Chopin Dramatic Club. In addition to his wife Theresa, he is survived by his sons Dr. James Bednarczyk, DMD and his wife Jolanta of New Haven and Brother Paul Bednarczyk, CSC of Chicago, IL. Also survived by his grandchildren Philip Bednarczyk of Brussels, Belgium, Michael Bednarzcyk of Washington, DC, and Katherine Bednarczyk of Baltimore, MD. He was predeceased by his brothers Stanley, Leon and Edmund Bednarczyk. His funeral will leave the LUPINSKI FUNERAL HOME, 821 State Street, New Haven on THURSDAY morning at 9:15 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Church at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Family and friends may call on WEDNESDAY from 4 until 8 p.m. A Prayer Service with the Holy Name Society will be held at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brothers of Holy Cross, Moreau Province, 921 St. Edward's Drive, Austin, Texas 78704.
