I knew Chuck from age 14 on. He was always the baby brother I never had. We lost touch the past years but he was always in my heart. I just learned of his passing. Rest in peace little brother.

After watching my two daughters (6&8) join swim team this summer, I realized what an impact Coach Rinehardt had on my life. My girls swam in the same swim league that he coached this summer which brought back many great memories.
Coach Rinehardt's passion, dedication, and commitment to coaching WHCC cannot be matched. He gave me the drive and confidence to not only be a better swimmer but a better person. He will be greatly missed!

I am not even sure how to begin to put in to words how much Karl meant to me. I will say that I am not sure that I would not be the person that I am today had he not been a part of my life. He pushed me to have the confidence and courage to do things that I didn't think I could do. (I remember the 100 100s practices and wanting to cry every time!) He made me realize the important people in my life and encouraged those relationships (he and my Mom saw eye to eye on a lot of things and at a time when high school girls are pulling away from their moms, he made sure I realized how wonderful she was). He was one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. It was largely because of Karl that I went into education. I didn't think I really liked or wanted kids until he threw me into coaching 8 year olds and I developed a love for seeing kids grow and accomplish their goals. He was inspiring and never doubted in my abilities and I am thankful that he was a part of my life. I know that my family feels the same way. He has a lot of people to be looking over now and I know that he is pushing angels around to get their jobs done in Heaven!!

I was googling Mr. Rinehardt today, as he popped into my mind like he does frequently. I was on my iPhone and excited to see if I could find his address or a FaceBook page in which I could connect with him. Instead, I found his obituary. Not only was it heartbreaking, but I realized that someone who had such an important role in my life as an 8- 18 year old was gone. I was so sad to learn of this news today. I was a little kid, but I don't forget what he taught me. He expected the best, I gave my best, and I succeeded because of him. I still have a record at WHCC because he pushed me to be the best swimmer I could be. He made me work hard and learn the competitiveness in sports, which I took along with me to college, and thereafter. He was special in that he inspired us by "blue fast water" and "red kick boards" and we listened to him yell "UNO MAS"! Thank you and I will never forget you!

Coach Rinehardt was my swim coach 20 years ago while living in Manhattan Kansas. He coached me my senior year in high school and greatly impacted my life. He believed in me and helped me become a better swimmer. Yesterday I was thinking about him and how he is one of the people who really influenced my life, empowering me that I can do hard things if I tried. He was awesome, so I got on the internet and googled him and found he past away. My heartfelt symphathies to his wife and my appreciate go out to coach Rinehardt who lives on in memory. Thank you for touching my life many years ago.

Dr. Rinehardt was my most influential professors though out my life. He gave me the confidence, knowledge base; showed me how to have fun with learning though somewhat philosophical ways; he will always be remembered; I have taken a piece of him with me and will for the rest of my life. I am greatful to have crossed paths with him. He had great passion for teaching and learning. He will me missed.

O-H Good Buddy!

To my dear friend Chuck. It was years since I had last spoken or seen you and Nicole and hearing of your passing hit me like a ton of bricks. :( I still remember hearing you calling to me on the Ohio State campus..."YO ADRIENNE"! :) I also remember sweet young and quiet Nicole. :) How she survived our crazy crew in those days I'll never know. :) Chuck, we shared an office and took the same classes while at our beloved "Thee Ohio State University". Your memory and all the great times we shared will be forever held near and dear to my heart. Sweet Nicole, thanks to you for making him happy. He truly loved you. He used to tell us in class how he used to practice counting your ribs for EKG electrode placement. :) I hope we can stay in touch.
