YOU ARE SO MISSED BY SO MANY.

February 17, 2011

Dear Marge:

We were so sorry to hear about Moe passing away. We will always remember Moe from our Jaycee days and, most especially, Art remembers the fun of singing with Moe, Rich D., Dave L. and you! We will also remember Moe being the DJ at our summer parties (from years past!). His presence at those parties, dancing and singing while spinning great tunes, was a major factor in making our parties the great fun they were. He was the best!

We know you and your family will miss him very much and we hope that the memories of all your years together will help you get through the days ahead.

Our deepest sympathy,

Art & Bernadette Gilbert

Dear Marge,

I can remember the first time I met Moe, down at Savin Rock where the Wild Mouse was. He was running around the bench with his brother Babe and my friend Jackie intruduced me to him. I remember when he sang Gloria at the Villa Rosa in Milford when a couple of girls went up to Moe with a hankerchief. Moe was a great guy and one of my best friends, and I'm really going to miss him. My prayers are with you and your family.

Marge,
I was so sorry to hear about Moe. I know this. The two of you were a source of such support during my entire Jaycee Women career. If I remember correctly, and I think I do, he had his ponytail cut off at one of the State Conventions to raise money for my campaign for national president! I'm praying for God to guide you and your family in the days ahead.

Dear Marge, Ray, John, Renee, and all Moe's kids -

I am so sorry for the heartbreak you are going through and my prayers are with all of you.

I met Moe, 48 years ago, when I was 14 years old. Moe and Babe. They were a pair. Babe stole my teenage heart back then, but Moe was always my buddy. We had so much fun and so many parties, with Patty and T, Lauire, Legs, Dutch, Ally, Wes, Nicky, Paula, Cuppy, Sharon C., Patty S. It was a wonderful time to be a teenager and at the center of every event was Moe! I remember all the guys harmonizing on the street corners. Moe was the leader, and all these years later, I can never hear "In the Still of the Night" without being transported back to those summer nights.

I'm so glad that thanks to the internet we got back in touch again in the 90's and had a great dinner and evening with Moe and Marge and Cathy when I came to Connecticut several years back.

I will miss hearing from Moe via e-mail. I'm glad he got to meet Little Anthony and I still have the e-mail he sent me after that.

I'm sure Moe is now with Babe, I don't think he was ever complete without him so I am happy to think of them together again, but sad for all of you who will have to face the days to come without this wonderful guy. I know that your memories will get you through until you meet again.

Lots of love,

Train

I am deeply saddened to hear of Moe's passing. His passionate commitment as a Jaycee in Toys for Tots, his true abilites entertaining countless with his music, his infectious enthusiasm for people. I have many memories of Moe "Fired Up" Cushen lighting up a crowd. He is probably now leading cheers at the gates of Heaven.
