leissner, paul joseph Leissner, Paul Joseph passed away peacefully Easter morning April 8, 2012. He was surrounded by his devoted wife of 38 years, Susan (Wheeler) Leissner and his sons Todd, Jason and Seth. Paul is also survived by his four grandchildren, Amber, Brandon, Brianna and Trevor and his sister, Linda (Leissner) Scully and numerous other devoted family and friends. Paul was born in 1947 and grew up in Clinton, Connecticut. He served honorably in the US Army and 2 years in Vietnam as a field medic. Paul worked as an operating engineer in construction all his life. He will be remembered for numerous things, always up before dawn, fly fishing before work and he loved to listen to the birds and watch the wildlife. Paul was most at home on horseback riding the trails and in the woods he so loved from his family farm in Brooksville, Florida. He and his family moved to the Sunshine State in 2003. Paul will always be remembered for his extreme love of animals and nature. He found great comfort in Native American spirituality and singing to his animals. Paul's handcrafted leather works will always be family treasures. Donations in Paul's memory may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
