My first job was at "The Angus", where I worked many summers. So many memories from those days. I can honestly say I have not since met a harder working woman than Claire, and she didn't slow down even after retirement. My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

My condolences to all. My connection to Clare was in the early days of the Angus Corrall (1962-1976) when I was in high school / college and summers thereafter. She instilled in me a work ethic that I carried into my career in Connecticut's then thriving Insurance Industry, and passed on to countless entry-level underwriters, administrators and trainers hired from colleges near and far. Clare's impact on my life was, indeed, profound. I truly wish I had found the time to locate her and tell her in person.

Clara was very special in my life. I worked with her to develop her lineage - through that experience I realized what a rich history Clara and her family share. I love the variations in spelling and the ability of each generation to keep moving forward while remembering those who came before them. Clara was an essential and valued member of each lineage society in which I came in contact with her - Daughters of the American Revolution, Women Descendants of the Ancient & Honorable Artillery, United States Daughters of 1812, New England Women, and too many others to mention. One of the funniest times was when she was at my home for one of those meetings - too many women - one toilet - it stuck - Clara to the rescue. Using a coat hanger as her sword, she solved the problem and the water stopped flowing into the basement. It is good to remember the joys and someday when you are through the pain, you can reflect upon all the joys and humor of a life well-lived.
