McGINLEY, DOROTHY Dorothy McGinley of Branford died peacefully on Monday, February 3 at CT Hospice while surrounded by her family. She was the wife of 67 years of Richard McGinley of Branford. She was the mother of Linda Andros (husband Philip) of Clinton, Douglas McGinley (wife Nancy) of Branford, Dennis McGinley (wife Tracey) of Guilford, and Kevin McGinley (fiancé Susan) of Higganum. She was the sister of Paul Lehman of Harrisburg, PA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter and William Lehman and her sister Esther Free. Dorothy was born in Martinsburg, PA on May 27, 1925, a daughter of Charles and Edna Carper Lehman. She was the office manager of J.M. Fields and also the manager of the Countdown Store in Branford. She was a volunteer at the Community Dining Room in Branford for more than 20 years. She was an avid card player who also enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN Basketball. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family more than anything. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 10:00 at St. Mary Church in Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St., Branford.
